I would like to start of this post by giving thanks to all of you who support our blog! Starting this blog has allowed an outlet for all of the information that has been bottled up within me just dying to come out. I truly feel called to sharing this knowledge. Throughout all of my years of study in: psychology, sociology, nutrition, physical therapy, holistic medicine, herbology, traditional chinese medicine and self-healing; I have felt drawn, compelled, and called to the knowledge. Each time a new subject would present itself, I would feel this overwhelming urge to share my new-found knowledge. My husband can attest to the countless hours he has been subjected unwillingly to my rants. The more knowledge I soaked up, the closer my connection with my cultural and worldly heritage became. The stronger this grew so did the calling to share my knowledge as our elders and their elders before them did. This is the way the world learned, evolved and prospered. The art is quickly dying. Replaced instead with mindless mainstream media and corporate America acting through Big Brother.
For years I dispelled politics because the outrage of American ways so consumed me that I could hardly bare it. I was wrought with the knowledge of overwhelming wrong doing and struck with a deep sense of helplessness to not only aid my fellow-man but also my precious family. I could simply close my ears to the news of what political wrong-doings where talking place. How could I possibly make a difference? What is this small-town farm girl going to change in this dying world? Who would even listen to what I had to say? Then, slowly as my family grew (along with my wisdom) my views on this matter began to change. My heart willed me to take action. Who better to stand up for the rights of my children (and future generations) than their mother?
This change brought about even more research and study. I wanted to understand why we did the things we did and for what reasons these changes had come about? Why had society steered so strongly away from their roots, the knowledge of their elders, the foundation of this country? The foreseen destruction was nothing new. Elders and founders of this country has warned of the devastation centuries before, yet no one listened. Why had their words been cast way? The words of our fathers haunted me:

So what does politics have to do with our food and the overall health of our nation? Excellent question. The answer is EVERYTHING! We the people have allowed ourselves to be dominated by our Government, corporate America and all those who fall prey to their will. Ask yourselves these questions: What would happen to the billion-dollar health care industry is people where no longer obese, diseased and frail? What would happen to the trillion-dollar food industry if we went back to traditional ways of eating (real food, of the earth, sustainable farming)? Think of the billions of dollars that is spent on the fitness industry to try to combat our super-sized nation. What would happen if people where healthy and no longer needed personal trainers, dieticians and life coaches to try to keep them from killing themselves? What would happen if the people where once again self-sustainable and no longer ‘needed’ the government to dictate their lives? What if I told you that the majority of modern diseases could be cured by simply changing the foods and medicines that you provide your family? That obesity, diabetes, ADD, endometriosis, infertility, mental disorders, and yes, even cancer would become something you read about in history class. Would you belive me?
The American people have been slowly brain-washed into these drone type organisms who now have to ask permission in every aspect of their own lives. They tell us how to eat, how to sleep, how to learn, how to work, how to raise and educate our children and will be the first to bring forth the guillotine of corruptiveness when someone actually dares to think for themselves. I wonder what our great-grandparents would say about the current state of life? Would they have immigrated to this country had they known the state of complacency in which it would become? Would they have come knowing their great-great grandchildren would live in a world that had no freedom? I can imagine what they would say. They would be ashamed at the state in which we have allowed our country to be. corruption and greed are now the life-lines that feed this country.
So, what can you, one single person do to change this devastation? You can take back control of your own lives. Education yourself, independently. Seek out those who have so boldly challenged this way of life. Embrace the ancient knowledge of nutrition and self-susaintabale life. We are the care-takes of the future, both in our children and our land. If we fail, we have not failed ourself, we fail our children, our grandchildren and the children of future generations. You have the right to stand up for your beliefs. You have the right to education yourself outside of what the media sells us as the truth. You have the right to demand that the government answer not to itself, but unto the people. You have the right to refuse the mainstream way of life and choose that in which is right by your own truth. The journey is long, the path is hard, but your children are waiting and watching to see what you will choose. Will you come with me? Will you carry on the work of your ancestors with pride, dignity and justice. Will you forge a life for your children that is better than today?
