As mentioned in earlier posts, we have been eliminating foods from our household that we feel are toxic and unhealthy. Here are a few “foods” that we are weaning ourselves off of and will be banned from our house after the 1st of the year.


  • Pop
  • Cold Cereals (except homemade granola)
  • Crisco
  • Boxed meals (Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, Mac-n-Cheese)
  • Corn Oil
  • Soybean Oil
  • Safflower Oil
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Canola Oil
  • Margarine
  • Prepackaged Snack Foods (Twinkies, fish crackers)
  • Store-bought Canned Vegetables (except for select emergency food)
  • Pre-made condiments (salad dressing, ketchup, mayo)
  • Pre-made seasonings
  • Snack Packs (jello, pudding, apple sauce)
  • Dairy products that comes from grain-fed cows
  • Meat that comes from grain-fed animals
  • Products containing GMOs (extends into non-food household goods)


Instead we will be nourishing our bodies with wholesome foods that are filled with natural unadulterated goodness. We believe that these changes will not only improve our health but will also fatten our wallets. Isn’t it amazing what REAL food can do?
